We joined about thirty other photographers, all lined up with tripods and bundled in layers as our breath puffed out in front of us while we waited for the sunrise. We had struck out with clouds and rain three other days in a row, trying to get this shot. It was our last day in Grand Teton NP before heading up to Glacier, so we were throwing a Hail Mary. The weather wasn’t looking great, but we went anyway, praying for the photo we had come across the country for. At last, we got it!
